On Donald Trump and Impeachment

The Donald just got impeached.

There has been a lot of confusion around this, though. A lot of people think that he has already been removed from office, which is false. He is still Commander-in-Chief. And, my bet is that he will continue to be at least until next year’s election.

Thy only way Donald Trump will get removed from office is if Andrew Yang miraculously makes it as the primary democratic candidate to face him off. The chances of this happening, however, are extremely low. Yang’s presidential race has already been a massive success, but he still has a long way to go in politics.

So, if Yang is probably not going to make it and Donald Trump is likely not going to get removed from office due to impeachment… Does that mean that the Donald wins next year’s election?

Unfortunately, I think it is.

I think that none of the democratic candidates that have the highest chances of making it to primaries (Biden, Warren and Sanders) are going to get people switched over to the blue side. It’s just not going to happen. Yang was the only one who could convince some Republican voters who are fed-up at Trump to switch over. And, unfortunately, Yang is most likely not going to make it very far. I hope I’m wrong though.

The Red Senate

The Senate is overwhelmingly controlled by Republicans who are most likely going to vote nay on removing Trump from office. This means that there is absolutely no way we’re going to get Trump removed from the oval office.

The question now is, will this whole impeachment mess take or award more votes to the Donald next year?

That’s the ultimate question that I’m asking myself right now.

I think Donald Trump should be removed from office. Abusing your presidential power to get a foreign country to interfere in next year’s election is a no-no for me. He needs to go. But, again, how many Republican senators are willing to hold a fair trial?

Ps. I don’t do sides. I’m not blue nor red. I vote for ideas and brains. If Yang were a member of the Republican party I’d vote red.

With that said, join my email list. Don’t ask questions. Just do it.
